The West Rim
I have no reached the Western Rim and it is time for me to begin the long descent into the canyon.
Red and White
The commanding colors of Zion National Park.
Ghostly Tree
Whether it was fire or the fall that has brought these trees to their state of barenness, their beauty cares not.
Look High
As a sign of my admiration, I look up at these trees.
The Twist
A twist in this tree's formation is a parallel to the twisted descent I'm preparring to embark upon.
The White Cliffs
Not quite Dover but I'll take these instead.
The West Rim Glory
There she is...all of her.
My Route
I've determined I'll take this route down into the canyon? Oh you don't see a route? Neither did I.
Zion Valley
I still don't know if that's Zion Valley beyond those cliffs? Accord to my map I'm thinking it might be? Am I nearly halfway through the Trans-Zion Trail
To The Left
The view to my left.
To the Right
My view to the right.
The Fertile Zone
I believe that is where I need to get to.
The Plateau
Zion's Plateau is and will always be unforgettable.
The High Ground
The last look at the high ground.
Unnatural
I don't even bother anymore trying to understand how the Earth has made such wonder.
The Black Tree
Scorched but not forgotten.
Trail Found
After being a bit off the beaten path, it was high time to get back on track. Especially given the descent.
Don't Slip
One mistake here and its curtains.
Uneasy Steps
At first I was uncertain of this route but I got my sealegs eventually.
Rim Hugging
I certainly tended to lean more to the right.
Switch Backed
This route gave the brave a view from every angle as they descended into the lower reaches of Zion.
Boulder Chase
I was half expecting a giant boulder to start chasing me down this route.
Grasshoppa'
I have so much to learn.
Shy Bug
Its hard to tell here but this was the largest grasshopper I have ever seen...still.
