Circling around the South Unit one last time. Amazing geological features along the road
Whiskey For My Men
Stopped by a local saloon on my way to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park South Unit - Missouri Saloon
Prairie Dog Town
One of HUNDREDS of Prairie Dog holes that covered the welcoming terrain of the South Unit
For all I know these prairie dog holes lead to a network of tunnels in a vast underground system
Sittin, Waitin, Wishin
Is this prairie dog using its tail as a chair? Lucky!
On The Prowl
Either this prairie dog is trying to hunt something or hes hiding from me
Like an early warning system, these prairie dogs alert their neighbors of any looming threats. In this case...me!
Luckily I was able to set up camp before the storm came through.
The storm clouds looked like a dark army rolling over top the buttes of the South Unit
Big Sky Storm
Storms were not just a weather occurence here...but a show!
I was hoping this storm would give Kodiak a much needed bath. Lots of bug guts on those windshields
Blot Out The Sun
The thick layers of this storm just completely changed the appearance of the world
Hands down this was the most amazing storm system I have ever seen. The storm clouds were like a wall pushing its way forward across the huge horizon
It looked big and sounded big
I met the storm head on
When the storm left it seemed to take the day with it
